Maryn Howe isn't intimidated by billionaire recluse Tucker Shaffer or his enormous log cabin in Island Park, Idaho. Maryn needs this interview, and she'll get it at any cost, even if the last four reporters were physically removed from his presence.
Tucker Shaffer has no desire to change his less than flattering public image, but his PR people persuade him to give it one more try. Ready to make nice with whoever comes through the door, Tucker is blindsided by a petite blonde with an extra-large personality. As the snow piles up and the questions keep coming, Maryn discovers the secret Tucker Shaffer has spent the last four years torturing himself with. She suddenly sees him in a new light, and she flees - right into danger and into Tucker's arms. But the danger has just begun, and now Maryn has to make a choice trust in Tucker or lose it all.

Maryn Howe doesn’t find what she expects when she goes to interview the reclusive billionaire, Tucker Shaffer. Instead of an arrogant or eccentric man who acts superior, she finds a down-to-earth, humble man that she’d like to get to know better. Her boss, who thinks he’s her boyfriend and wants to be more, might have other plans, however. The blurb on Amazon should have warned me of how many grammatical mistakes the book had when it said, “with whoever.” There were plenty, most of them using adjectives for the adverb, like “quickly” for “quick,“ “light” for “lightly,“ tight” for “tightly,” “near” for “nearly,” “wicked” for wickedly,” and “slow” for “slowly. The wrong name, “Johnson,” was even used for the main character “Tucker” once, and “James’” should have been “James’s” since there wasn’t two of him. I guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention, for I didn’t notice it had a second author, either. This definitely didn’t read like the Cami Checketts I’ve read before. It’s more flirty to the point of almost being raunchy. I like Tucker but not Maryn for this very reason. I appreciated her boldness, but not when it became so suggestive it didn’t feel clean. And I could have done without words like "hottie" and phrases like his "huge body did it for her."

The Feisty One A Billionaire Bride Pact Romance (Audible Audio Edition) Cami Checketts Amy McFadden Inc Blackstone Audio Books Reviews
Just go finished my first novel by by Cami Checketts. Rewarding! A yummy love evolves WITHOUT being lewd or hyper-graphic AND there is an exciting suspense-filled story line with surprises. What a pleasure! Feared I might be getting too old for "modern" romance . Thanks, Cami!!
Tucker is a billionaire who lives with and travels with his three closest friends. The combination of the four actually works well in the story, showing they are as close as family. Maryn is a reporter sent to discover the real Tucker. The accident that keeps her at the house for a few days is rather unbelievable, but it moves the story along and allows for more details about the residents. Overall, it was a good story.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a little different in that it didn't the usual fall in love, have a big misunderstanding, then quickly work it out kind of story. The H was truly a hero. The h bugged me a little. She was a spunky, tell it like it is girl, but she couldn't tell a guy she wasn't interested? Especially when she had done so, apparently, several times before. Other than that, I liked the book.
Loved the book, characters, editing, and plot until the last supposedly big ending. To put it nicely, the last part of the book stunk. What a terrible way to try and get a little excitement in the book. The book would have been great without the--spoiler coming up--drug chapter. Obviously the poorest of the series so far.
Fun, fast paced, modern retelling of Beauty and The Beast. Maryn is “snarky, warm, and beautiful,” not your average heroine. She’s got a mouth on her and she’s not afraid to use it. The plot of this story flies along and leaves you breathless. Tucker is a beast of a man in more ways than one. His heart is as huge as his physical body. The threesome of Brax, Johnson and Mama Porter are delightful and add hilarity as supporting cast members. I love the similarities to the fairy tale. Drama, danger and intrigue plus a healthy dose of magical kisses fill the pages of this exciting, enchanting romance. You won’t be able to put it down.
This is a clean read from an amazing author. Another fabulous entry in the Billionaire Bride Pact Romance Series.
The Feisty One #3- Another well written, funny romance with interesting, believable characters with realistic dialog. The book ended too soon, but it was very entertaining to the end. I'm not really a fan of millionaire/billionaire romance stories, but this one fit very well. This is the only book of this series that I have read.
I enjoyed Ms Checkett's book Saving Sycamore Bay, a Destined For Love Mansions Series contribution. I volunteered to review her books and received The Feisty One.
Saving Sycamore Bay, Destined For Love Mansions - Sweet and heartwarming. This author is new to me, but I enjoyed her story. It is well written, entertaining and has suspense and drama. The characters are believable and realistic; the plot is well thought out and has a big unexpected twist.
SSB is a good addition to the Destined for Love Mansions Series. I wish I had read Cancun Getaway first, which is the story about some of the characters that appear in this book.
I have to say, first and foremost, that I absolutely LOVE Ms. Checketts novels! They are wonderful and beautiful, and it is not every day that you find a truly Christian romance novelist! I am so lucky to have stumbled upon her work, and I am looking forward to reading more and more of her stories!
"The Feisty One" is wonderful tale of how Maryn Howe and Tucker Shaffer fell in love with each other, even when everything and everyone was trying to come in between them. From the beginning of the story, readers are kept on their toes by a ferocious bear attack, and then kept there from even more dramatizations. No matter where you turn, there will will be something to love in this story and the overall story line! I can promise you this, you will not be disappointed.
If you have not dived into the "A Billionaire Bride Pact Romance," please let me be the first to beg you to pick each one of them up and read them at your earliest convenience!
